I. Getting ready for the class.
1) Warming up exercise.
Singing English songs or performing action rhymes that learnedin the previous lessons.
2) Play a ”Simon says“ game.
For revising the instructions. e.g. Stand up. Come here . Point to a …II Revision of the old lesson:
1)Draw some pictures of classroom objects on a small blackboard beforehand. Show the Ps a word-card of one item above and say: ”Put the wordunder the right picture“.
3) Then invite some quick children to take the role until all the words and the pictures are matched.
III. Teaching of the new lesson.
1)Teach the sentences: Give me a …,please. & Thank you.
Pretend to draw a picture on a plastic transparent paper on a projectorAnd have a wrong drawing, say: ”Oh, I want a rubber. Give me a rubber,Please“. Ask for other classroom objects as well to show the meaningof the request. When the Ps understand and respond to the request, say:
”Thank you.“ to them.
2)Teach : Here you are.
When there are many objects on the teacher's desk. Ask the Ps try toget an object with the request: ”Give me a …,please.“ Say ”Here you are.“When any pupil requests rightly. At the same time, encourage them to say”Thank you “to the teacher.
3)Practice reading the sentences above.
Get one pupil by one pupil to practice in a group or in a row.
4)Play the tape, have the Ps repeat after the recording.
IV. Learning activities.
1) Ask the Ps to act out the dialogue in pairs. Then invite a few pairs toPerform it before the class.
2) Play a guessing game.
Go around the classroom, requesting by using ”Give me a …,please.“After three times, put the three objects away from the Ps' sight,but keep one with a cover. Have the Ps guess what it is. If he/she hasthe right answer, give him/her a little present, also using the sentences”Here you are“ ”Thank you“Then encourage other Ps to take the role.
